Chief Accountant (Manufacturing)

Job Purpose

The Chief Accountant is responsible for comprehensively organizing, managing, and operating the company’s accounting system. This role ensures the transparency and accuracy of accounting books and financial statements, strictly controls manufacturing costs, and ensures full compliance with tax regulations, actively supporting the company's large-scale growth objectives (expected to reach VND 600 billion - 1,000 billion in the next 02 years).

Key Responsibilities

A. Accounting System & Internal Control Management

• Establish, finalize, and standardize the entire system of accounting processes, regulations, and templates suitable for the manufacturing and energy sectors.

• Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of accounting books and periodic financial statements (monthly, quarterly, annually) in compliance with VAS and current accounting standards.

• Build and operate an internal control system to prevent financial risks, asset loss, and inventory/material discrepancies at both the factory and warehouses.

B. Cost Accounting & Tax Management

• Direct and control cost accounting for products in the manufacturing and energy sectors; analyze fluctuations in raw materials, labor, and manufacturing overhead costs to advise management on cost optimization.

• Take full responsibility for tax declaration and finalization (VAT, CIT, PIT, contractor tax, etc.), ensuring strict compliance with tax laws.

• Work directly with tax authorities, independent auditors, and relevant government agencies.

C. Team Management & Development

• Manage, direct, and effectively assign tasks to a direct reporting team of 4 members (General Accountant, Tax Accountant, Cost Accountant, and Payment/Inventory Accountant).

• Train, coach, and upgrade the professional capacity of the accounting team to meet the company's rapid scaling pace.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher majoring in Accounting, Auditing, or Finance.

• Certifications: Holder of a Chief Accountant Certificate issued by the Ministry of Finance; Preference given to candidates with additional certifications such as ACCA or CPA.

• Work Experience:

  • Minimum 5 - 7 years of experience in a Chief Accountant or Senior General Accountant role.

  • Preference given to candidates with experience in Manufacturing or Energy sectors.

  • Preference: Candidates with work experience at Vingroup or other large corporations with professional management processes.

• Professional Competence:

  • Deep understanding of tax regulations and corporate accounting laws.

  • Solid capability in cost management within the manufacturing industry.

  • Strong skills in setting up accounting systems and managing accounting operations.

• Soft Skills:

  • Leadership, management, and team-building skills.

  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills when dealing with tax authorities and state agencies.

  • Proficient in office informatics and major accounting software/ERP systems.
